Create Category Templates to Auto-Map Products

Overview

TikTok Shop Connector by SPL’s Product Mapping feature helps you organize and sync your product listings between your Shopify store and TikTok Shop. Once your Shopify store is connected, you must first map your products to the correct TikTok Shop categories before they can be listed for sale. This can be done manually, either individually or in bulk.

With Category Templates, you can automate this process by setting up rules that automatically assign Shopify categories to the right TikTok Shop categories. This saves time and effort, especially if you frequently add new products.

Benefits

Category Templates are ideal for merchants with a large number of products but only a few categories. They help ensure new products are instantly mapped and synced to TikTok Shop without the need for manual updates.

Follow these steps to efficiently map your products from Shopify to TikTok Shop using Category Templates in TikTok Shop Connector by SPL.

Step 1: Access the Product Mapping Section

Open the SPL Dashboard.
Click on Products from the menu.


Select Choose Products in the Specified Categories to map products only within selected categories. and click on sync to TikTok

Step 2: Select Categories

Click Select Categories.
Choose the relevant eCommerce platform category(ies) from the dropdown or search by name.

Step 3: Fill in TikTok Shop Attributes

Each TikTok Shop category has specific attributes that need to be completed for successful syncing.
Fill in all the required fields (they will be listed by default).
Upload any necessary certificates or documents.

Step 4: Save as a Template for Future Use

At the bottom of the page, check "Save your selection as a template for future use?"

Enter Template name and click on Save Template

Step 5: Using a Saved Template

When mapping new products, select the template from the Select Template dropdown at the top.

The saved settings will automatically apply, making future product mapping quick and easy.
